Business Development & Resource Mobilization

• Listing summary: The position requires an MBA or equivalent degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking or Finance and 4–6 years of experience in micro‑finance, banking, insurance or related sectors. Applicants should have a strong background in resource mobilization and business development within micro‑finance institutions. The role will focus on targeting women entrepreneurs and youth in Addis Ababa, building partnerships with SACOs, and reporting to the Manager/CEO. Successful candidates will contribute to strategic planning and client outreach while ensuring compliance with institutional policies.

Company Snapshot

EMFI targets small and micro enterprise operators and small holder’s farmers with focus on women economic empowerment and youth employment. A marketplace or a target area will be delineated for a branch or sub offices based on feasibility study and same would be further divided into sub-area among SACOs based on the population size, cluster of potential clients, average distance to reach clients, physical infrastructure, and other relevant factors  EMFI should preferentially target micro-entrepreneurs who are: Citizens and residents within the geographic boundary of the target market; Guarantors must be Ethiopian citizens Women (encouraged and preferably in majority) With dependent children in the household, or who are employing others with dependent children Who are poor active micro-entrepreneurs within the local context, Within and around the target areas, (which can include rural, semi-urban and urban settings) EMFI branches should consider risk concentrations and higher costs of serving the preferred target client.

Relevant Experience: Experience in Micro Finance Institution is an asset.

Education & Certifications

Educational Requirements: MBA/M.A or BA/ BSC. Degree Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance
