Job Summary

The Farm Veterinarian will be responsible for maintaining flock health, diagnosing and treating diseases, implementing vaccination programs, and ensuring compliance with biosecurity standards. Duties and Responsibilities

The Poultry Veterinarian shall: Flock Health Management Conduct routine health inspections of birds. Diagnose diseases and health problems. Prescribe and supervise treatments.

Monitor morbidity and mortality rates. Investigate disease outbreaks and recommend corrective measures. Vaccination and Medication Develop and supervise vaccination schedules.

Ensure correct administration of vaccines and medications. Monitor vaccine handling and cold-chain management. Evaluate vaccine responses and effectiveness. Biosecurity Management Develop and enforce farm biosecurity protocols.

Monitor farm sanitation and disinfection practices. Supervise visitor access control and movement procedures. Train workers on disease prevention measures. Production Monitoring Monitor egg production performance.

Evaluate feed intake, water consumption, and body weight. Assess flock uniformity and growth performance. Investigate causes of production decline. Record Keeping Maintain veterinary and treatment records.

Prepare mortality and disease reports. Document vaccination and medication use. Analyze flock performance indicators.

Experience in poultry health management(Minimum one year)
