Job Summary

The GS Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing general services, facility maintenance, utilities, vehicles, equipment, and other operational support activities to ensure the organization’s facilities and resources are safe, functional, and well maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on maintenance and repair of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, vehicles, and equipment.

• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance needs and operational issues.

• Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.

• Follow up on generators, water systems, electrical equipment, and other facility utilities.

• Coordinate with external technicians, garages, and service providers when specialized maintenance is required.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, vehicle services, equipment, and spare parts.

• Monitor the use and condition of company assets and report any damage or maintenance requirements.

• Prepare maintenance requests and follow up on quotations and service completion.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and facility maintenance standards.

• Support procurement of maintenance materials, spare parts, and technical supplies.

• Perform other general service and facility-related duties assigned by management.

Job Specification

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Managment ,Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant technical certification is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in general services, facility maintenance, automotive, electrical, or mechanical maintenance.

• Experience in a healthcare organization is an advantage.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of vehicle, electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance.

• Ability to identify and follow up on technical problems.

• Good coordination and communication skills.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate with technicians and service providers.

• Good computer and record-keeping skills.

• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
