They supervise and mentor junior staff, ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, and contribute to teaching, research, and multidisciplinary coordination. With advanced expertise and strong leadership, internists play a vital role in strengthening hospital service delivery and improving patient outcomes.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Diagnose and treat adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.

• Emergency Services: Provide critical care and stabilization for life-threatening conditions.

• Supervision: Mentor general practitioners, residents, and nurses in internal medicine practice.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, patient safety, and ethical standards.

• Teaching & Training: Provide bedside teaching and lectures to medical staff and students.

• Research & Innovation: Participate in operational research and contribute to evidence-based practice.

• Coordination: Collaborate with other specialists for integrated patient care.
