We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join a growing team at a leading Import and Export company. In this role, you will support senior architects and project teams with architectural design, drafting, material evaluations, site coordination, and project documentation. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

1. Design Development and Technical Detailing

Assist in developing architectural concepts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualization packages for diverse building types. 

Produce complete, high-quality architectural working drawing packages, including enlarged room layouts, wall sections, stair details, door/window schedules.

Convert conceptual hand sketches and schematics into accurate digital models and technical execution drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. 

2. Drafting and Model Management 

Maintain and organize central models, ensuring adherence to office CAD standards, standard layering systems, and file structures. 

Perform preliminary coordination and check for spatial/clash conflicts across architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

3. Material Research and Specifications 

Research, select, and specify suitable construction materials, finishes, fixtures, and architectural hardware in alignment with project budgets and aesthetics. 

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to request product samples, technical datasheets, and cost estimates; maintain and update the firm’s material library.

4. Project Coordination and Compliance 

Liaise with internal design teams and external consultants (Structural, Civil) to ensure seamless integration of engineering systems into architectural designs. 

Assist senior architects in reviewing local building codes, zoning regulations, and setback requirements to ensure full design compliance. 

Help compile architectural permit packages and submission drawings required by local municipal authorities.

5. Site Administration and Client Interaction 

Participate in regular site inspections, surveys, and site measurements 

Prepare site observation reports and photo documentation to monitor construction progress. 

Assist in evaluating contractor shop drawings, material mock-ups, and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs). 

Prepare high-quality presentation decks, mood boards, and graphic materials for client meetings and design reviews.

Qualifications 

Education: First degree from a recognized University in Architecture. 

Experience: 0 – 2 years 

Primary CAD/BIM: High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Architecture (Required). 

Graphics and Presentations: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and MS Office Suite.
