Light Vehicle Driver
Department: Fleet, Machinery and Equipment department
Reports To: Fleet, Machinery and Equipment Manager
Work Location: Addis Ababa

Job Purpose

To provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for company employees, management, visitors, and documents while ensuring the proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport employees, management, visitors, and company documents as assigned.

• Drive safely and comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.

• Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical problems or damage.

• Ensure the vehicle has valid registration, insurance, inspection certificates, and other required documents.

• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, trips, and vehicle maintenance.

• Report accidents, traffic violations, and other vehicle-related incidents immediately.

• Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of the vehicle.

• Follow assigned travel schedules and routes and maintain punctuality.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Education: Minimum Grade 10 or 12 completion; relevant training is an advantage.

• License: Valid Ethiopian driving license appropriate for the assigned vehicle.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience.

• Skills: Good knowledge of traffic rules, vehicle maintenance, and road safety.

• Personal Qualities: Honesty, punctuality, discipline, confidentiality, and a responsible attitude.

• Additional Requirements: Good communication skills and knowledge of Addis Ababa roads and major routes.
