Loader Operator

• Listing summary: The successful candidate should have completed Grade 10 and possess a valid Front-End Loader Operator License. Additional training in front-end loader operation and safety, hazardous material handling, and basic mechanical troubleshooting is also required.

 Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the job is to efficiently and safely operate frontend loader to transport raw materials, including sand, soda ash, limestone, and cullet (recycled glass), to designated production areas. The role ensures a consistent and timely supply of materials to the batch plant and furnace, supporting uninterrupted glass bottle production.

Major duties and Responsibilities

• Operates front-end loader to transport raw materials from storage areas to the batching area.

• Ensures precise loading and placement of materials to optimize production efficiency.

• Conducts daily inspections and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain the loader in operational condition and reports.

• Document any mechanical issues for scheduled maintenance.

• Communicate and coordinate with batching and furnace operators to ensure timely material supply.

• Monitors material levels and prevent shortages that may disrupt production.

• Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and regulatory standards related to equipment operation and hazardous materials.

• Identify and report potential safety hazards in the loading and storage areas.

• Ensure proper storage and organization of raw materials to prevent contamination or spillage.

• Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including loading zones and material storage sections.

• Performs other related duties as may be assigned the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge and skills (Competence)

Education

• Completion of Grade 10 education.

• Certified Front-End Loader Operator License.

• Additional training in Front-end loader operation & safety, Hazardous material handling and Basic mechanical troubleshooting

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial equipment operation, Materials handling and Manufacturing environments.

Skills:

• Basic mechanical maintenance skills to ensure equipment reliability.

• Knowledge of material properties (sand, soda ash, limestone, cullet) and handling techniques.

• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.

• Ability to work in high-paced industrial settings with minimal supervision.
