Job Purpose

The Office Engineer is responsible for providing technical and engineering support for Etege Design Company’s interior design, finishing, and furniture production projects. The position will coordinate project drawings, specifications, quantities, materials, schedules, and technical documentation while working closely with project managers, architects, site engineers, designers, production teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Office Engineer ensures that project information is accurate, properly documented, and effectively communicated between the office, project sites, and production workshop.

Key Responsibilities

 Prepare, review, and update technical drawings, shop drawings, and project documents.  Review architectural, interior design, finishing, and furniture drawings for accuracy and completeness.  Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, material requirements, and cost related technical documents.  Coordinate with architects, designers, site engineers, production teams, and project managers.  Prepare material schedules and specifications based on project requirements.  Support procurement by providing accurate technical information and material requirements.  Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, design conflicts, and technical issues.  Coordinate with the workshop and production team regarding furniture drawings, dimensions, materials, and technical details.  Prepare project reports, progress updates, and other required technical documentation.
