Operations Manager

ADDIS HUB by SAFE ZONE is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee our warehouse, pickup, dispatch, and last-mile delivery operations in Addis Ababa. This is a leadership role responsible for managing daily logistics operations, supervising operational teams, ensuring service quality, and driving operational efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage warehouse, pickup, dispatch, and delivery operations. Oversee parcel receiving, sorting, storage, tracking, and dispatch processes. Ensure timely and efficient parcel collection and last-mile delivery services.

Supervise warehouse staff, dispatch coordinators, drivers, and riders. Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance. Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and service quality requirements.

Monitor operational KPIs, including delivery success rates, parcel volumes, turnaround times, and productivity. Handle operational challenges, customer escalations, failed deliveries, and returns.

Prepare operational reports and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Support recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management of operational staff.

Required Experience (Strict Requirement)

Minimum

5 years of experience

in courier, logistics, postal services, delivery companies, warehouses, distribution centers, or fulfillment centers.

Minimum

2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role

leading logistics or warehouse operations.

Proven experience managing warehouse operations, parcel handling, pickup, dispatch, and last-mile delivery activities.

Strong knowledge of logistics routes, transportation networks, and operational procedures in Addis Ababa.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and supervise operational teams.

Experience implementing operational processes, performance standards, and service quality controls.

Proven ability to manage KPIs, operational reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Experience with Cash-on-Delivery (COD) operations is an advantage.
