VACANCY – PART-TIME PASTRY CHEF

Laba Coffee is looking for a skilled, creative, and professional Part-Time Pastry Chef to prepare high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts while maintaining excellent standards of taste, presentation, hygiene, and product consistency.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, desserts, and other bakery products.

Decorate and present pastries and desserts professionally.

Follow recipes, measurements, and portion standards to ensure consistent quality.

Develop new pastry and dessert ideas to enhance the café’s menu.

Maintain proper cleanliness, hygiene, and food-safety standards.

Monitor ingredient stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishment.

Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.

Maintain and organize pastry kitchen equipment and workspaces.

Ensure pastry products are prepared and displayed on time.

Support daily café operations and work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a professional bakery or café is preferred.

Good knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert decoration.

Creativity and strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Culinary or pastry training is an advantage.

Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends and holidays.
