Quality Control Officer (Bishoftu)

• Listing summary: The successful candidate should possess a B.Sc. Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field of study. The candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience, along with a good understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). A strong willingness to learn, enthusiasm, attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to quality assurance and food safety are also required.

Job Summary

Receiving of quality raw milk with good composition of Holland dairy standard. Keep quality of finished goods during processing, packaging, and storage.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Proper quality recording of incoming milk and finished products.

• Daily reporting of incoming milk and finished products.

• SOP & ISO implementation

• Make sure production is according EFDA standards.

• Assisting production to produce quality standard product.

• Perform routine laboratory testing and report on time.

• Proper recording and maintenance of non-conformity

• Participate on root cause identification of customer complains.

• Participate in product development, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life test.

• Based on the developed procedures conduct cleaning and preventive action for equipment that found in the lab or assigned to him/her.

• Ensure safe custody of calibrated equipment.

• Maintain equipment to keep it in proper condition. In case of breakdown take initiative, coordinate, and assist laboratory manager for its early repair.

• Ensure timely disposal of tested samples as per procedure.

• Proper handling of laboratory equipment and reagent filling. 

Job Requirements

• BSC Degree in Dairy technology, food science, industrial chemistry, and other related fields

• Have minimum of 2 years’ experience

• Energetic and passionate to learn more, good understanding of HACCP, GMP and GLP

• Good communication skill
