Position: Social Media Marketing Expert

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• A Diploma or relevant professional qualification in Digital Marketing may be accepted with strong practical experience and a successful portfolio.
• Additional certification in social media marketing, digital advertising, content creation, or analytics is an advantage.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or online product promotion.
• Practical experience creating and managing paid advertising campaigns.
• Experience promoting imported goods, vehicles, electronics, or consumer products is an advantage.
• Experience working with sales teams, distributors, importers, wholesalers, or retailers is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and YouTube Shorts marketing.
• Social media account management and paid advertising campaign management.
• Graphic design using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools.
• Video editing using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalent software.
• Product photography, videography, and short-form video production.
• Content writing, promotional copywriting, and digital storytelling.
• Proficiency in Meta Ads reporting, social media insights, and relevant analytics tools.
• Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets for campaign reporting and sales tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English.
• Strong creativity, decision-making, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media marketing strategies aligned with company sales objectives.
• Manage the company’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and other relevant social media accounts.
• Create engaging product posts, promotional graphics, videos, reels, stories, and advertisements.
• Prepare persuasive product descriptions, captions, and marketing messages.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule and ensure brand consistency.
• Respond professionally to customer comments, messages, and inquiries.
• Develop campaigns to attract potential customers and increase product sales.
• Coordinate with the sales team to follow up on leads generated through social media.
• Monitor advertising performance, audience engagement, and sales conversions.
• Analyse campaign results and prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, lead generation, and marketing effectiveness.

Performance Evaluation

The successful candidate will be evaluated based on measurable marketing and business results, including:

• Lead Generation: Number of qualified customer inquiries generated.
• Sales Conversion: Percentage of leads converted into paying customers.
• Audience Growth: Growth in relevant followers and potential customers.
• Engagement: Meaningful interactions, comments, shares, and saves.
• Content Quality: Creativity, accuracy, consistency, and promotional effectiveness.
• Customer Response: Timely and professional handling of inquiries.
• Reporting: Accurate and timely weekly and monthly performance reports.

Practical Assessment

Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a practical assessment involving:

• Creating a sample social media post for a company product.
• Producing a short promotional video or reel.
• Preparing a seven-day social media content plan.
• Identifying the appropriate target audience and marketing platforms.

Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated results.

Reports To: Marketing and Sales Manager.

Working Hours: According to company policy.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
