Video Editor and YouTube Content Creator (Remote)

About the job

We run two faceless YouTube channels: one with short explainer videos, and one with longer storytelling videos. We need one person to run the full video process for both. No one appears on camera.

We're looking for someone who wants to build and grow these channels with us long-term, not someone looking for a short-term or seasonal project.

What you will do

  • Review how our current videos are performing and suggest what to make next.

  • Research topics and fact-check every claim with real sources.

  • Write the scripts. I provide the voiceover, or you give me the script to record.

  • Edit the videos with the voiceover I send you: visuals, captions, music and sound effects.

  • Make thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags and hashtags.

  • Upload and schedule the videos on YouTube Studio.

  • Check the numbers each week (views, click rate, watch time) and tell me what to change.

  • Take ownership of managing both YouTube channels, from planning and publishing content to monitoring performance and improving the channels over time.

Output each week

  • At least 2 short videos, each under 5 minutes.

  • 1 longer storytelling video for the second channel.

Required experience (must have)

  • At least 1 year of experience working on faceless YouTube channels (explainers, documentaries, storytelling or similar). Without this, please don't apply.

  • Links to the channels you have worked on, and the videos you made or edited. Please say what your role was (editing, scripts, thumbnails, uploads).

  • Experience running a regular upload schedule, with at least 2 videos a week.

  • Strong thumbnail design skills, including composition, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.

  • Understand YouTube analytics, including CTR, impressions, watch time, and audience retention.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro (required), plus CapCut and Photoshop or Canva for thumbnails.

  • Good at research and fact-checking. No clickbait claims or made-up facts.

  • Comfortable using AI tools for research and script drafts, and able to check what they produce.

  • Good English writing.

  • Reliable: you meet deadlines and send a short update each week.

  • A long-term mindset: someone who wants to grow with the channels, thinks beyond individual videos, and is willing to take initiative and experiment with creative ideas.

Nice to have

  • Experience with YouTube analytics and thumbnail testing.

  • Experience with storytelling or documentary-style videos.

  • A channel you worked on that grew (views or subscribers).

How to apply

Please read this job description carefully before applying. Send your portfolio, your past channel links and your expected rate. As a short test, we will give you a topic and ask for a 60-second sample cut and a title with a thumbnail idea. Applications without past faceless-channel work will not be reviewed.
