Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and proven expertise in the import and export sector.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger Assist in month- end and year-end closing activities Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow report Prepare and review VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory tax filings Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policie Proficiency in Peach-tree accounting software Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Job Vacancy Position: Accountant Company: MP Steel Structure Manufacturing Job Type: Full-time, Onsite Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Requirements

BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in accounting

A good background in the import and export sector is a plus.

Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and ERP/accounting system

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skill

Fluent in English

Ability to work independently with integrity and accountability
