Chief Finance Officer - Addis Ababa

Job Description

Veritas Trading Group is seeking an experienced Chief Finance Officer to lead the organization's financial strategy and operations. This is a senior executive role responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth across its trading and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across the organization
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, executive team, and board of directors
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, trade finance, and working capital to support trading operations
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, import/export finance rules, and corporate governance standards
• Lead cost control and margin optimization initiatives across trading activities
• Oversee risk management strategies, including financial, currency/foreign exchange, and counterparty risk
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and other financial stakeholders
• Lead and develop the finance team, including accounting, treasury, and financial planning functions
• Evaluate and support merger, acquisition, and investment opportunities where applicable
• Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the board and senior leadership
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and ERP platforms
