Senior IT Operations Manager - Addis Ababa

Veritas Trading Group is seeking an experienced Senior IT Operations Manager to lead and oversee our information technology infrastructure supporting our trading and commercial operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the systems that power our business transactions and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network infrastructure, servers, and enterprise applications
• Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, setting performance goals and fostering professional development
• Ensure the uptime and performance of critical business systems (ERP, financial/trading platforms, inventory management tools) that support trading operations
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard company data and operations
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee IT budgets
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency across trading functions
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices
• Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategy with overall business objectives
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot escalated technical issues
• Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the trading and commercial industry
