Position: Junior Accountant

📍 Work Location: Addis Ababa, near Goro ICT Park

Job Purpose

The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in daily accounting operations, financial recordkeeping, transaction processing, and the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.

• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.

• Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and periodic reports.

• Assist with VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable tax documentation.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.

• Assist in monitoring expenses and verifying supporting documents.

• Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.

• Assist with internal and external audit preparations.

• Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Ethiopian tax regulations.

• Familiarity with accounting software; knowledge of QuickBooks is an advantage.

• Good numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail, honesty, and professional integrity.

• Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

• Willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
