Abyssinia Woodworks PLC is a furniture and woodwork company based in Addis Ababa. We design, manufacture, and supply quality custom and ready made furniture for residential and commercial customers.

Our products include dining tables and chairs, sofas, sofa beds, beds, coffee tables, TV stands, vanities, storage solutions, and other household furniture, alongside custom cabinet, closets, doors and interior solutions.

AWW is expanding its furniture operations and opening a new second showroom branch in Addis Ababa

The Production Manager

• will oversee daily workshop operations, Manage daily workshop operations, production schedules, and manufacturing workflow.

• Supervise and coordinate carpenters, technicians, machine operators, and other production employees.

• Plan production activities and ensure orders are completed on time.

• Set, monitor, and achieve production targets while ensuring efficient use of manpower, materials, and machinery.

• Ensure product quality and compliance with technical drawings and customer specifications.

• Monitor raw materials, inventory, material wastage, and production costs.

• Oversee machinery utilization, maintenance, and workplace safety.

• Identify production challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

• Prepare production reports and coordinate with management and relevant departments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, Wood Technology, Furniture Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or production management.

• Previous experience managing and supervising production employees is essential.

• Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, machinery, and quality control.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and furniture designs.

• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
