Job Summary
Simien Pure Foods is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. The role involves managing financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls to support efficient production operations and informed management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with IFRS and Ethiopian accounting standards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Oversee cost accounting for food processing operations, including raw materials, production costs, inventory, and wastage
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow
• Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, income tax) in compliance with Ethiopian tax laws
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to food processing businesses
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with tax authorities and regulatory bodies
• Develop and enforce internal controls and financial policies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
