Software Engineer/Developer - Addis Ababa

Job Purpose
To design, develop, test, implement and maintain reliable software applications and systems that support business operations, improve efficiency and deliver effective digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications, systems and APIs.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Write clean, secure, efficient and maintainable code.
• Test, debug and troubleshoot applications and resolve system issues.
• Integrate applications with databases, third-party platforms and other systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications based on business requirements.
• Participate in system architecture, solution design and technology-selection discussions.
• Implement appropriate application security, data protection and access controls.
• Manage source code using version-control tools and support CI/CD processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support and resolve production incidents.
• Work closely with business users, project teams and other technology professionals.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for automation and innovation.
