Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in accounting, tax compliance, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting, with the ability to work independently and ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments, collections, and expense recording.
• Perform cash and bank reconciliations and monitor customer and supplier balances.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, expense reports, and accounting statements.
• Handle tax calculations, declarations, electronic tax payments, and applicable statutory obligations.
• Assist with payroll calculations and maintain related documentation.
• Maintain proper financial records, receipts, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Monitor company expenses, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting errors.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, auditors, and relevant authorities on finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Ethiopian tax regulations and accounting requirements.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of practical accounting or finance experience.
• Good knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations, tax declarations, and electronic tax payment procedures.
• Hands-on experience in bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
• Ability to independently manage routine accounting and tax-related activities with minimal supervision.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Experience in trading, import/export, or construction is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: ETB 15,000–18,000 net per month
