We are seeking qualified and experienced One (1) Senior Architects (Senior) to lead and manage construction supervision activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the project is executed according to design, specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements.

Location:  Head Office (HO), Addis Ababa

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the architectural design and development of building projects from concept through detailed design and construction.

• Develop and review conceptual, schematic, preliminary, and detailed architectural designs.

• Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, details, specifications, and design documents.

• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, standards, and authority requirements.

• Coordinate architectural works with structural, electrical, sanitary, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.

• Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, and technical proposals.

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to ensure construction complies with approved architectural drawings and specifications.

• Identify design and construction issues and provide appropriate technical solutions and design modifications.

• Lead the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents related to architectural works.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities, and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/B.Arch) in Architecture or a related field from a recognized university.

• Master’s Degree (MSc/MA) in Architecture or a related specialization is an advantage.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, consultancy, and construction supervision.

• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, standards, and authority requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D visualization, and other relevant architectural software.

• Experience in coordinating architectural, structural, electrical, sanitary, and mechanical designs.

• Relevant professional registration, certification, or membership in a recognized professional association is an advantage.

• Practical knowledge and experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), including BIM-based design coordination, model development, clash detection, and documentation.

• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models involving architectural, structural, electrical, sanitary, and mechanical disciplines
